How to Reinstall Microsoft Edge App If It’s Crashing Or Won’t Open

With Windows 10, Microsoft introduced their new generation browser  Microsoft Edge. Microsoft introduced Microsoft Edge as “Project Spartan” back in January. Microsoft officially announced the Project Spartan on January 21, 2015 during their Windows 10: The Next Chapter event in Redmond, Washington.
Microsoft edge, is designed to deliver a better web experience. It’s fast, compatible, and built for the modern web experience. It designed to work the way you do and help you get things done through easy sharing, reading, discovery, and more. Microsoft edge comes with very new features, new modern UI, integration of Cortana, universally availability across the devices and many more features.
But due to some online viruses, or programs the Microsoft edge app gets constantly crashing for bunch of users. Some users also complaining that, the browser won’t open although if they have click on logo.
So today’s our tutorial will walk you through the procedure that “How you can reinstall Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10”.
With this tutorial, we will give you some workarounds that you can use to fix this problem.

Method 1 –
In this workaround we will reinstall Microsoft edge by using PowerShell.

1. First a fall, navigate to this directory in your PC

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Packages


2. Then search for folder named Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe. And Delete it folder.
If computer refuses to delete some content in folder then skip it. After that restart the PC.

3. Then press Windows logo key + Q and search for Windows PowerShell. Then right click on PowerShell app and run it as administrative.

4. Then navigate to your user account directory by this following small command and hit enter.

cd C:\users\{your user name}

5. After that copy and paste following command in PowerShell. And hit enter.

Get -AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -verbose}

6. Once the command is executed successfully then you will see”Operation completed for” message at bottom.

And now just restart the computer and try launching Microsoft Edge app. It will run without any issues.

Alternatively you can also download the Microsoft Edge app from official Microsoft download centre.
