Microsoft is bringing another round of Copilot, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform updates to its weekly community call on August 18, 2026, with a strong focus on AI agents, identity management and secure document workflows.
The weekly call is designed to showcase new features, practical use cases and demos across Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, including Copilot, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Graph and more.
What Microsoft will cover on August 18
The August 18 session includes the latest Microsoft news and updates, followed by several community-led demonstrations focused on emerging Microsoft 365 and Copilot scenarios.
Here’s the agenda:
- Latest Microsoft updates
- Together mode group photo
- Creating a Copilot Entra ID management agent — Muhammad Raifq
- Creating a secure document handoff solution with SPFx and SharePoint Embedded — Albert-Jan Schot
- SharePoint Embedded monthly booking — Steve Pucelik and Marc Windle
Copilot meets Entra ID management
One of the most interesting sessions will be presented by Muhammad Raifq, who will demonstrate how to create a Copilot agent for Entra ID management.
The session highlights Microsoft’s broader push toward AI-powered agents that can help simplify administrative and identity-related tasks. For IT teams, this could be an important area to watch as Copilot becomes increasingly integrated with enterprise management workflows.
Secure document handoff with SharePoint Embedded
Another key session will look at creating a secure document handoff solution using SPFx and SharePoint Embedded.
The combination is particularly relevant for organizations that need to move or share documents while maintaining appropriate controls around access and security. The demo will be presented by Albert-Jan Schot.
SharePoint Embedded has increasingly become part of Microsoft’s developer story for building applications that use Microsoft 365 content and document capabilities without requiring users to work entirely inside the traditional SharePoint experience.
SharePoint Embedded updates
The session will also include a monthly SharePoint Embedded booking, presented by Steve Pucelik and Marc Windle.
This should provide developers and Microsoft 365 professionals with another opportunity to catch up on the latest developments around SharePoint Embedded and its evolving capabilities.
Why this week’s call is worth watching
The August 18 agenda is a good snapshot of where Microsoft’s enterprise productivity strategy is heading: AI agents, identity management, secure content sharing and developer-focused Microsoft 365 services.
Rather than focusing only on new end-user features, the sessions show how Copilot and Microsoft 365 services can be combined to build more specialized business workflows.
The Copilot + Entra ID demonstration should be particularly interesting for IT administrators, while the SPFx + SharePoint Embedded session is likely to appeal more to developers and Microsoft 365 solution architects.
The community call is scheduled for August 18, 2026, and Microsoft provides a Teams meeting link and recurring invite through its Microsoft Tech Community event page.
