It looks like users with the Microsoft’s Windows 10 May 2019 Update a.k.a. Windows 10 1903 Update, are having a tough time. Users were facing many issues after installing the new Windows 10 Update, and these issues have not been fixed yet.

Worse, Microsoft acknowledged two new issues, which were earlier thought to be isolated cases, in May 2019 Update. If you’re a Surface Book 2 owner, the discrete GPU(dGPU) may occasionally disappear from device manager on your 2-in-one device with dGPU. The issue has been acknowledged by Microsoft and the company confirmed that they are working on a fix.

Microsoft has identified a compatibility issue on some Surface Book 2 devices configured with Nvidia discrete graphics processing unit (dGPU). After updating to Window 10, version 1903 (May 2019 Feature Update), some apps or games that needs to perform graphics intensive operations may close or fail to open.
To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on Surface Book 2 devices with Nvidia dGPUs from being offered Windows 10, version 1903, until this issue is resolved.

Another issue that Microsoft acknowledged is that the “Windows 10 May 2019 Update causing black Remote Desktop screens.” Microsoft said that they are currently investigating what might be the cause behind such issue and soon after it finds out the reason, it will start working on the fix.

These two issues are in existence in Windows 10 May 2019 Update only, and its predecessors are not affected by these bugs.
