July 2017 stats from Net Market Share reveals the underlying trend in Desktop browser share. The Internet Explorer market share has crashed further in the month of July. From 16.84% in June it has declined to 16.5% in July.
Microsoft Edge, the modern browser from Microsoft, however, has not been able to see growth. It has remained stagnant at 5.65% in July from June.

Chrome has also not been able to gain much browser share in June. It has grown from 59.49% in June to 59.57% in July. Firefox has shown most impressive growth from 12.02% in June to 12.32% in July.
Microsoft has recently started promoting Microsoft Edge via in-built ads in Windows 10. Even this doesn’t seem to help in gaining share for Microsoft Edge.
