In a new tv ad for the Xbox One S, Microsoft has focused on HDR capabilities of the console. Whether it is gaming, watching online movies or streaming, HDR brings true to life pictures with deeper blacks, brighter whites and more luminous colors.

In the video above, Microsoft has compared both the HDR and HDR-less versions of gaming and 4K playback/streaming which is a pure simulation, by the way. It quickly follows that in order to feel the power of hardware-software combination, you will need a 4K TV.

Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 are the only games in the store that support HDR with more to follow soon.

The new Xbox One S is the only console with 4K Blu-ray, 4K video streaming, and HDR. With a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, High Dynamic Range technology brings out the true visual depth of your games and 4k entertainment.

If you’d like to buy an Xbox One S, you can find it in the Microsoft Store here, or on Amazon here.
