Microsoft has launched Windows Apportals targeting enterprise customers. Apportals are extension of nested folder concept of Windows desktop OS to the Metro design. So Live Tiles of similar task or role based apps are grouped in one Apportal screen, which can be accessed from the native start screen of Windows 8.1 device. Above is an example of “Sales Productivity solution” Apportal, which has all the Sales Productivity solution related apps on one screen.
Interestingly it seems that Apportals can be extended to Windows Phone as well.
