As per a latest report from Analysis firm Canalys, Microsoft is the leading vendor in the detachable PC market beating likes of Apple. This report covers the first quarter of 2016. As can be seen in the pie-chart shared by Canalys above, Microsoft has 31% market share of the Detachable PC market. Apple is at second position with 29% market share while Asus is distant 3rd with 9% market share.
The Detachable PC market has been cited as the one showing growth in rather declining PC market. Canalys credits acceptability of Surface in Enterprise segment for Microsoft’ Detachable market share lead.
