Microsoft has released the update KB4554364 (Builds 18362.753 and 18363.753) to fix Windows 10 internet connection issue acknowledged by it earlier. Microsoft had admited that Windows 10 OS Build 18363.693 aka update KB4535996 resulted in limited or no internet connection status on devices using a manual or auto-configured proxy.
This issue was more prevalent when using a VPN with devices using a manual or auto-configured proxy. This issue also affected a number of apps like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Office365, Outlook and more.
Now the update KB4554364 fixes only this issue and Microsoft has acted really fast to fix it because it severly impacted its prized enterprise customer base.
- Addresses an issue that might display a limited or no internet connection status in the notification area on devices that use a manual or auto-configured proxy, especially with a virtual private network (VPN). Additionally, this issue might prevent some devices from connecting to the internet using applications that use WinHTTP or WinINet.
