Microsoft yesterday released an Insider preview build to the Skip Ahead ring. Codenamed 19H1, Build 18237 was causing problems while installing it and eating up all the memory that it is never supposed to. Those who were registered in the Skip Ahead ring are complaining about the same. Microsoft though acknowledges the issues and came up with an Official Statement.
Hello
#WindowsInsiders – here is a small update on today’s Skip Ahead flight of 19H1 Build 18237. ^BLB
Users are encountering ‘update failed with the 0x800700e error‘ while installing the Build 18237.
There is no workaround just yet and if we look at the official statement the only way to solve the problem would be according to Microsoft, to release Build 18237 once again but after decrypting it. Those affected will be seeing the yet another update for the same build soon.
