Microsoft releases Windows 10 version 21H1. ISO & other ways to update

While the Windows 10 version 21H1 update will be available for your PC via Windows update, but there are more ways in which you can update to Windows 10 version 21H1. The update roll-out, however, may not be available for everyone initially.

How to update to Windows 10 May 2021 update:

Here are four ways in which you can update to May 2021 update.

  1. Via Windows update for installing the update

Using windows update:

On the Settings page, navigate to Update & security > Windows Update and check for updates. Being phased roll-out you may or may not get it right away, as explained by Microsoft. Initially it will be available only for PCs running Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2.

Windows 10, version 21H1 is available for users with devices running Windows 10, versions 2004 and higher who manually seek to “Check for updates” via Windows Update. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.

Customers running either Windows 10, version 2004 or version 20H2 who choose to update to the new release will have a fast installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update.
