Microsoft recently released Windows 11 Builds 25309 and 25314 to the insiders in Dev channel. The Build 25309 brought a new Windows 11 volume mixer experience for Windows 11 users. Now, the Build 25314 brings more enhancement to this new volume mixer experience by adding “more mixer settings”.
New volume mixer experience for Windows 11:
With Windows 11 Build 25309, Microsoft introduced a new volume mixer into Quick Settings. There is a new modern volume mixer that can be invoked via updated audio quick settings. This volume mixer allows quick customization of audio and swapping of devices.
The updated audio quick settings experience brings a modern volume mixer that allows for quick customization of audio on a per-app basis, with additional control to swap devices on the fly. We’ve also added a new keyboard shortcut (WIN + CTRL + V) to bring you directly to the volume mixer for faster control of the experience. With this change, you can now tailor your audio experience better with more control and fewer clicks to better manage your favorite apps.
In addition, we’ve made it easier for users to enable their Windows Sonic experience with a quick access list of installed spatial sound technology. You can visit the Microsoft Store to find additional spatial sound technology to choose from such as Dolby and DTS.
More mixer settings in Build 25314:
Now, while Microsoft didn’t mention any new volume mixer related feature in the Build 25314, enthusiast account “PhantomOcean3” has sighted and shared “more mixer settings” there. Check the screenshot shared by the account below that reveals the new option in volume mixer. The more mixer settings should take one to the full “Volume mixer” settings page.
