At WinHEC 2016, Microsoft and Qualcomm announced a partnership where they will deliver a huge feature which will enable ARM-based Snapdragon processors to run full Windows 10. Yes! you heard me right.

According to Microsoft, Windows 10 devices to support this feature will arrive as early as next year, which will surely bring thunder among all since most of the smartphone devices at present come with the Snapdragon processors already. It will be nice to watch the reaction from the competition.

Cristiano Amon, the Executive Vice President of Qualcomm Technologies and president of Qualcomm CDMA technologies stated:

Qualcomm Snapdragon processors offer one of the world’s most advanced mobile computing features, including Gigabit LTE connectivity, advanced multimedia support, machine learning and superior hardware security features, all while supporting thin, fan-less designs and long battery life, With compatibility with the Windows 10 ecosystem, the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform is expected to support mobility to cloud computing and redefine how people will use their compute devices,

With ARM-based Windows 10 PC coming to the market, is this is an indication of highly rumored Surface Phone?
