Microsoft has finally confirmed the Windows 10 version 21H1 update on it official blog. They have also provided list of new features & changes that Windows 10 version 21H1 update brings. The update is now available in Beta channel as Build 19043.844.
Microsoft has posted a new blog post confirming the existence of another minor Windows 10 feature update, version 21H1. The update will be released in the similar manner to other minor Windows 10 OS updates. The 21H1 update release will use monthly update servicing channel like Windows 10 version 20H2 update.
Microsoft has also provided a list of new features and changes that Windows 10 version 21H1 brings with itself. Microsoft claims to take care of “our customers’ most pressing needs” with Windows 10 version 21H1 update.
Windows 10 21H1 new changes & features:
- Windows Hello multicamera support to allow users to choose an external camera priority when using high end displays with integrated cameras.
- Windows Defender Application Guard performance improvements including optimizing document opening scenario times.
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) updating performance improvement to support remote work scenarios.
The 21H1 update has been released to Beta channel. It is now available in Beta channel with option of download and install. If you choose to download and install it, it will take your OS version to Build 19043.844.
The Build 19043, simply tells us that we are looking at yet another minor Windows 10 OS update after Windows 10 version 20H2. The update release is targeted at the later part of first half of 2021. Microsoft has also confirmed that all Windows 10 editions of version 21H1 will receive 18 months of servicing updates.
Broad availability of Windows 10, version 21H1 will begin later in the first half of this calendar year, and we will provide more information on the release and how to get it as we get closer to the launch of this next feature update.
