Microsoft has changed the way in which some pre-installed features will be treated in the upcoming Windows 10 major update, version 2004. In its official documentation Microsoft has revealed that NotePad, Paint, WordPad, Windows Fax & Scan, PowerShell ISE and more such tools and features are pre-installed as features on demand.

The availability for these on demand features is marked as “Windows 10, version 2004 and later”. Check all the features that are marked as features on demand below. Microsoft says that these featured on demand come preinstalled in Windows image.

The following Features on Demand come preinstalled in a Windows image. Don’t remove these FODs from the Windows image:
