Microsoft has released a fresh update for it Power BI app for desktop users. The latest update brings several exciting new features along with some improvements as well.
The Power BI team is also re-working on its schedule of pushing monthly updates. During the past year, you would have received these updates during the last week of the month or so, but starting now you will get them earlier in the month.
Up until this point, we’ve released our updates at the end of the month, but going forward we’ll be releasing earlier in the month.
Some of the notable improvements include tables and matrix and several connector improvements as well.
Here’s the complete list of January updates:
- Table header word wrap
- Table & matrix conditional formatting improvement – blank formatting
- New aggregations for string and dateTime columns
- Phone reports GA
- Visual Studio Team Services connector
- Enhanced SQL Server connector – support for SQL Failover option
