It seems collaboration between Microsoft and Qualcomm has led to development of an exclusive flagship processor for Windows 10 on ARM. Snapdragon 850 will be launched in 2nd half of 2018 for Windows 10, claims a new report from German site WinFuture.
As per this report Snapdragon 850 will exist only for Windows devices and will be faster than Snapdragon 845 that will be the flagship Qualcomm processor for smartphones. The Geekbench entries also confirm that Snapdragon 850 is faster and will operate around the clocking speed of 3.0 GHz.
Dell, HP, Lenovo and ASUS are on-board with their own devices running Snapdragon 850 processor under development. WinFuture was able to spot Windows 10 on ARM devices powered by Snapdragon 850 in benchmark entries.
