In a good news for Surface fans, Surface Laptop 4 has appeared in Geekbench database. The variant that appeared on Geekbench is powered by “Renoir” custom AMD Ryzen 5 3580U processor. The Geekbench mentions the processor as “Surface edition” confirming its custom-made for Microsoft status.
Now, coming to the Geekbench listing, Surface Laptop 4 variant has 8GB RAM. The AMD processor has six cores and is clocked at 2.20 GHz. It scores 1063 in single-core and 5726 in multi-core tests.
We last reported about what may be Surface Laptop 4 variants 1952, 1953, 1958 and 1959 appearing in the Bluetooth certification. The certification listed them as Surface Laptop 3 variants along with Surface Pro 7 Plus variants 1960, 1961. So, it seemed that it will be launched as Surface Laptop 3 Plus just like Surface Pro 7 Plus. But, now this appearance of Surface Laptop 4 at Geekbench may reset that assumption.
Surface Laptop 3 Plus/4 may come with design similar to Surface Laptop 3. It may be powered by 11th gen Intel Tiger Lake processors or AMD Ryzen 4000 processors depending upon the variant. An earlier leak has also revealed the design of Surface Laptop 4.
