Surface Laptop

While Microsoft has already announced its surprising #MicrosoftEDU press event today in New York city, and is expected to announce some new devices and services to benefit education or students, that doesn’t stop things to get leaked ahead of official announcements.

First reported by the reliable Microsoft enthusiast @walkingcat on Twitter, Microsoft is expected to launch a new Surface branded laptop, Surface Laptop. This device runs  on Windows 10 S, a newer and lighter version of Windows 10 operating system, focused on the educational purposes.

With Windows 10 S, you will only be able to install Windows Store apps, which makes it quite light-weight and limited when it comes to usage.

Also, Surface laptop sports a 13.5-inch 1080p PixelSense display, Alcantara-covered keyboard and will be available in 4 colors (Platinum/Burgundy/Cobalt Blue/Graphite Gold).

Here is the 360-degree view of the device:

On the connectivity front, the Surface Laptop has only one USB 3.0 port, mini DisplayPort and a headphone jack. It weighs 2.76lbs, 14.47mm thick at the back and 9.9mm at the front.

And here are leaked images of the device.
