VLC player team has finally got the audio working for their Windows 8.1 application it seems. This was a major obstacle in releasing final VLC application to Windows store and with that overcome, it may see a sooner release. Better news is they also confirm working simultaneously on a WP8 version of app as well. A VLC application for Windows and Windows phone is on wish list of many of us who want to see arguably the most capable video player in the store.
