Microsoft is finally releasing the 17692 to slow ring and comes with some important fixes as expected. The Slow ring is meant to receive more stable build as compared to the Fast ring. As the company is approaching the deadline to deliver RS 5 to the general public, we will see more of fixes. We expect more and more builds for the Slow ring before the official build of Redstone 5. Build 17692 for the Slow ring does not come with a bunch of fixes like what we see in most of the Fast ring builds. The slow ring is all about a better experience. Below are the changes:
- We fixed the issue where the login screen would crash in a loop when the active sign-in method is set to Picture Password.
- We fixed the issue where DRM video playback in Microsoft Edge from websites such as Netflix was broken.
- We fixed the issue where Keyboard Settings found under Ease of Access were missing text as well as visible values in the two combo boxes.
- We have improved reliability and performance for launching Start.
