We have already seen many moves from Microsoft to make windows 10 a huge success. They made Windows 10 a ‘Free Upgrade’ to those who have Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update 1 installed in their PC.They tried automatic downloading of Windows 10 in Windows 7/8.1 PCs.
Now company is trying something totally new which will force you to have Windows 10 in your PC. In Windows 7 & 8.1 we have an option of ‘Recommended Update’ and ‘Optional Update’ . So we have to choose which one to download & update. But now company has made it a recommended update to download & install Windows 10 on your PC. It is effective starting February 1st ,2016. A Microsoft spokesman said, “As we shared in late October on the Windows Blog, we are committed to making it easy for our Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 customers to upgrade to Windows 10. We updated the upgrade experience today to help our customers, who previously reserved their upgrade, schedule a time for their upgrade to take place”
It was also made clear from Microsoft that anyone who has ‘Automatic Updates’ enables in his/her PC, might see Windows 10 installed automatically. But Microsoft made one thing interesting that is backing up an image of their Windows 7/8.1 system which lets them revert to Windows 7/8.1 withing 31 days if they don’t like Windows 10. BUt you can always say No to it by going to control panel & Update settings.
