Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.158 (KB4073117) available with Spectre & Meltdown fixes

Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Mobile cumulative update Build 15254.158 (10.0.15254.158) to everyone on Fall Creators update. Microsoft mentions it as the cumulative update KB4073117 for Mobile devices.

As expected this cumulative update doesn’t bring anything new in terms of changes and features. It brings fixes for the recent Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities that affect even ARM processors. Read the full changelog below.

You can check the update availability by going to Settings–>Update & Security–>Windows update–>Check for updates.

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update.

  • This build includes all the improvements from KB4056891.

If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:

  • Security updates to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Edge, Windows Graphics, Windows Kernel, Windows Subsystem for Linux, and the Windows SMB Server.

If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

    no solution for the contacts sync issue between cloud and mobile version… outlook contact not available on mobiel for a month now

      If you have Outlook 2016. Open it and go to contacts. Move all contacts from the full contacts folder to the (almost) empty contacts folder which is there as well.Seemed to be caused (for me) by language differences. My empty one was called “contacts” while the filled one is called “contactpersonen” (which is Dutch) After that and a sync all was well again.
