Microsoft hasn’t been exactly shy when it comes to teasing its upcoming Windows 10 Start Menu UI and the modern File explorer. First, Panos Panay posted a video on Instagram that revealed upcoming changes to Windows 10 Start Menu, the File Explorer, context-sensitive menus and updated versions of apps.
And now, Microsoft may have provided another look at the modern File explorer officially. Check the image above that again reveals deeper OneDrive integration and modern look of the Windows 10 File explorer in works.
While this version of File explorer may still be very much work-in-progress it does look cleaner and more consistent with the Windows 10 design. One can notice design changes in sidebar, top menu, title bars and the icons.
This image has been posted in the article about new Microsoft Edge features and it is highly probable that Microsoft may have just dropped it there deliberately. While it is not yet clear when Microsoft plans to bring the new File explorer, but we may keep our hopes high for Windows 10 21H1 aka version 2103.
