We last reported about hints of Composable Shell with SwiftKey text input appearing in the accidentally leaked Windows 10 Build 16212. Composable Shell is responsible for making Windows 10 adaptable to small mobile displays.

Microsoft announced the acquisition of SwiftKey in year 2016. One of the major purposes stated in this announcement was to integrate SwiftKey’s highly rated Prediction Engine to Microsoft’s existing Word Flow Tech. Now, appearance of “SwiftKey TextInput” in Build 16212 clearly means that Microsoft is inching towards bringing SwifKey and Windows Phone Word Flow Tech together.

Our sources indicate that Fall Creators Update aka Redstone 3 will bring this new Keyboard with much better prediction capability along with improved shape writing feature of Microsoft’s Word Flow Tech. Microsoft may be planning to push this Keyboard in a future build to insiders for testing, though that may still take time.

We also hear that Microsoft may be planning to bring the cool feature of Keyboard Themes already available on SwiftKey Android Keyboard to the Windows 10 Keyboard. Just keep in mind that many features planned like this don’t make the final cut to release.
