After I made a full recovery with Arconis and everything seems perfect but….. Upgrade kb5017389 was unable to install 0xe0000100.
I also tried a manual install with no Success,
Cleared all the Update files & logs….

running CHKDSK /r /f at startup but after that PC is not respronding so I had to restart again.
running CHKDSK /r /f at recovery environment was able to repair.

Last try was DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth it has started correctly but stuck at 62.3 %

Here are DISM CHDSK & CBS log files.

kb5017389 install issue results in being locked out of system windows 11 pro 22h2

I am having issues installing kb5017389. I kept getting a 0x800f0922 error after a failed install of the update. The other update, for .net which was released at the same time, installed no issue.

After several attempts, including running the update troubleshooter, I looked at cbs.log. which stated issues with secure boot. So I then checked windows security. Windows device security was now saying that my device was not qualified for hardware security.

Furthermore, the security processor options were now missing. I brought up the menu manually using 5he start menu, and it said it could not read the TPM information.

It could read the version and so on, but the entries for state and so on. We’re blank. So I brought up tpm.msc, which was still reading my tpm correctly. then i ran the TPM troubleshooter, and reset the TPM.

Following reboot Windows tells me that my sign-in pin is no longer usable on this machine. A link saying set up a new pin is then shown.

When I try and do that, a message says that an app from the windows store is needed.

If I click yes, nothing happens. So I am now locked out of windows. My system is set up to use my Microsoft passwordless account.

How do I get back into windows without doing a system wipe?

To whom it may concern,

I recently installed the 01/10/2022 September 30, 2022—KB5017389 (OS Build 22621.608) and any time after re-entering the Windows and having them on hold for some time, the opened apps freeze especially the Microsoft Edge which is updated, as well.

My laptop is Surface Pro X, Microsoft SQ2 @ 3.15 GHz with OS Win11 ARM.

I am looking forward to hearing from you any idea to solve the issue.
