Microsoft has recently released 2024 August update KB5041585 for Windows 11 version 23H2. Now, it seems that the update KB5041585 fails to install for many, is causing performance issues for some users. Some users are also experiencing Taskbar, Print spooler and other issues after installing this update.

I CAN, however, use address bar search and Copilot. Anyone else experiencing anything similar? I tried running the Windows Update Troubleshooter, but it, also, could not successfully complete, just endlessly “resolving problems.”

I don’t know what in the world happened with this update, but it’s completely screwed up my laptop. Slow, laggy, extremely delayed response time, Minecraft realms won’t even show and no sound at all on the app, I uninstalled the updates, had to restart my laptop probably ten dang times, just to have it REINSTALL the friggin updates I’d just UNINSTALLED, WITHOUT ME telling it to!!! ISTG if this affects my ability to work tomorrow… 🤬🤬🤬

Sweet baby jesus this update wrecked my work notebook…
My GameBoy is faster now…

The CPU is almost constantly at 100%, everything is super slow, laggy, I get timeouts left and right.

I even had to start pushing my code to remote just to trigger the pipeline and execute my integration tests there, because doing this and waiting 15min for the result was faster than just executing the tests locally.
It’s an absolute mess.

Now that I saw that others are having issues too, I’ll try uninstalling the update.

5041585 is really sluggish…. Couldn’t get much work done today…. Hope it gets better tomorrow.

Hi guys, my windows seems to be completely broken, taskbar is not working, can’t open settings can’t open search bar, it is completely broken right now. Whats happening?

Some other issues were reported too. Many people are not able to open websites and are facing print spooler issue after installing this update, it seems.

After windows updates KB5041585 and KB5042099, I cannot access 90% of websites.

Just about all websites I visit after these updates, I get x**** is unreachable and ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE. Even the sites that I can visit, they don’t always load properly, missing videos, etc. I can get to Microsoft.com, but when I try to login, I get the unreachable. This behavior started after KB5042099 and KB5041585 were installed. I tried to uninstall them but no change. I then reinstalled them, again, no change.

After update KB5041585 on 15 August 2024, the services of print spooler keep crashing,

i try to bring back, but when i try to print again, the service keep crashing.

i already try to deletes all files in this folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS and

try reinstall drivers printer.

but the services print spooler keep crashing.
