Microsoft has recently released 2024 September update KB5043076 for Windows 11 version 23H2 and 22H2. Now, it seems that the update KB5043076 fails to install for many, is causing performance issues for some users. Some users are also experiencing Taskbar, Print spooler and other issues after installing this update.

Many users 1, 2, 3 are not able to install the Windows 11 23H2 update KB5043076 in the first place as reported in the official Microsoft forum.

I have recently updated my windows. 2024-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5043076) and apparently this update couldn’t be installed on my windows system. The problem right now is I’m not able to access my search bar and my windows button because of it and if i press my windows key it will pop up a critical error (start menu isn’t working). I need help on how can i fix this issue.

Windows 11 Update keeps failing
I’ve been trying to install a Windows 11 update but it keeps failing. I tried doing sfc Scan and it said that Window’s Resource Protection couldn’t run the action. I also tried using dism commands and they also failed. I don’t know what to do at this point.

I cant install my newest update and my Windows 11 crashes all the Time
So when i try installing this update; 2024-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5043076). It never Works and it tells me to retry. And also my Windows 11 keeps crashing after some time. And i also cant install my mainboard controls center from MSI.

The Bluescreen says as follows: Your Device ran into a problem and needs to restart We are just collecting some Error info, and then we will restart for you.

I would Appreciate some Help.

Some Users are reporting performance and boot issues after installation of the Windows 11 23H2 update KB5043076.

KB5043076 update resulted in severe stuttering/performance issues
I updated my PC earlier today to KB5043076 and a new NVIDIA driver (which was rolled back while troubleshooting) and since then, I’ve been experiencing some major stuttering and performance issues. It smooths out somewhat after some time, but stuttering still persists and I am unable to launch or play any games on my PC. This appears to be an update that cannot be rolled back, otherwise I would have done so already.

Please help!

Can’t boot Windows 11 after KB5043076
Hi,

I am not able to boot my Windows 11 after installing KB5042881 KB5043076. I have linux installed on two different physical drives and I can boot them up. They show up in UEFI/BIOS. This seems to be exactly the opposite of what Microsoft has acknowledged in their Known Issues.

Is there a way to get back Windows? I know I can use an ISO to try fixing it. But this update was installed silently and I only got to know when it asked for a Restart.

Thanks
