Microsoft recently released Windows 11 Build 24494 to insiders in Dev channel that you can read more about by clicking here. Now, while Microsoft listed changes that the build brings in its official blog post, it seems that the build also enables new “Pause updates” options.
By default, there is options to pause Windows update for just one week in Windows 10 and Windows 11 public release version 21H2. But, insiders in Dev channel are seeing options to pause update for more than one week after installing the latest update.
Check the screenshot below that shows a new “drop-down” in “Pause Updates” option on the Windows update page.
On clicking the drop down in “Pause updates”, options to pause Windows update for 2 weeks, 3 weeks and more appear now. This looks useful for those Windows 11 users who are reluctant to update their PCs before others. This can help them in understanding feedback by others who have already updated before making up their minds.
