Xbox Insiders are getting another round of console improvements, and this latest update brings several practical changes that could make the Xbox experience more customizable and easier to manage.

Microsoft is testing new features for Xbox Insiders before they roll out more broadly. The latest wave focuses on dashboard customization, local game save management, profile badges, and wishlist improvements.

Xbox Dashboard Gets More Customization Options

One of the biggest changes is giving players more control over what appears in their recent games and apps list.

Xbox Insiders can now customize items in the recent list and remove entries they do not want to see. This includes the Play History section, giving users more flexibility over how their dashboard looks and what information is surfaced.

The update continues Microsoft’s recent push to make the Xbox Home experience more personal. Earlier Insider updates introduced additional groups, custom colors, and other personalization controls.

Local Game Save Management

Save management is also getting an important upgrade.

The new local save management tools are designed to give players more control over game save data stored on their consoles. This arrives alongside Microsoft’s broader work on cloud-save recovery, which recently allowed Insiders to restore previously synced save versions directly from the console for supported games.

For players who frequently switch between consoles or manage multiple save versions, these changes could make dealing with saved data considerably less confusing.

Profile Badges Get More Detailed

Xbox is also expanding profile badges, making it easier for players to showcase milestones from their gaming history.

Microsoft has been gradually giving badges a bigger role across Xbox profiles. Earlier updates introduced tiered Gamerscore badges, while another update made recently unlocked profile badges easier to spot from the Guide.

The latest changes build on that system with more detailed profile badge information.

Wishlist Improvements Continue

Wishlist functionality is getting another boost as well.

Xbox has recently made it possible to add both released and upcoming games directly from their game cards. Microsoft has also expanded wishlist capacity to as many as 1,000 games, giving players significantly more room to track games they want to play or purchase later.

That should be particularly useful for players keeping track of upcoming releases, Game Pass titles, and games they want to pick up during future sales.

More Xbox Updates Are on the Way

The latest Insider update shows that Microsoft is continuing to refine the Xbox experience through smaller but useful quality-of-life improvements.

Rather than focusing on one major redesign, Xbox is gradually improving areas players interact with every day—from the Home dashboard and save management to profiles and wishlists.

As with other Xbox Insider features, availability can vary by Insider ring, and Microsoft may change individual features based on feedback before they reach everyone.

For Xbox players, the direction is clear: more customization, more control, and fewer unnecessary steps when managing games and content.
