Phil Spencer

Gear up gamers! 2017 is going to be an epic year for games on Xbox as well as Windows 10. Microsoft Xbox head, Phil Spencer shares his vision for what is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017.

Starting with year’s biggest launch, the Xbox team is celebrating the worldwide early access for Halo Wars 2. The original Halo Wars launch on Xbox 360 happened eight years ago, since then the talented team at Xbox and 343 Industries had been working to publish a sequel for the fellow and passionate Halo community, which is finally available and launching on February 21.

One of the best advantage of the Halo Wars 2, it is now available on your PC, since it supports Xbox Play Anywhere. This means players get both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC versions of Halo Wars 2 with a single digital purchase, including shared progress and achievements across both platforms.

Phil Spencer also talked about their upcoming gaming console Project Scorpio, here is what he had to say:

We are preparing to launch the most powerful console ever made this holiday – Project Scorpio – along with a diverse lineup of games.

In fact, we are committed to delivering even more exclusive games for both Xbox One and Windows 10 this year than we launched in 2016.

Microsoft has already revealed the date for their Xbox E3 briefing, which is scheduled for June 11, 2017.

More game releases are coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 at Xbox E3 from studio partners at Rare, Undead Labs and Sumo Digital/Reagent Games this year, and new IP like Sea of Thieves to all-new chapters of fan-favorite franchises like State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3.
