Microsoft has started rolling out a fresh wave of Xbox console updates for select Xbox Insiders, bringing a redesigned boot-up experience, new tiered Gamerscore badges, and improved game library filters to Xbox Series X|S consoles. The update is part of Microsoft’s continued push to modernize the Xbox dashboard and make achievements more meaningful for long-time players.
New Xbox Boot-Up Experience Finally Arrives
One of the biggest highlights in this Xbox Insider update is the all-new startup animation. Microsoft has redesigned the console boot sequence with a refreshed sound effect and a glowing green Xbox logo that matches the company’s latest branding direction.

Another useful addition in the update is expanded library filtering for Games & Apps. Xbox users will now be able to quickly identify:

- Titles shared through other accounts
- Games playable through subscriptions like Game Pass
- Installed games they no longer have access to
The new filters are intended to reduce confusion in large digital libraries and make it easier to know exactly what is playable across devices and consoles.
