Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul has teased “native FLAC audio support” coming to Windows 10 with next builds. He posted the above image on Twitter and has also clarified that it is platform wide (native) support and not limited to Windows Media Player. So, any other modern or Win32 app also can make use of it.
For those unaware, FLAC is a lossless and high-quality audio playback format and has been on-demand list of many Windows and Windows Phone users for long.
Keen eyed #WindowsInsiders will notice something cool about this pic. Something to look forward to in the new year! pic.twitter.com/4uQe5LlLmI

@davidvega1999 This is platform level support, so not just WMP. Any Win32 or modern app will be able to play FLAC.
