Microsoft’s own personal launcher app Arrow Launcher has been updated in the Google Play Store for Android. The latest update to version 3.8 contains a number of exciting new additions to Arrow.
In case you are not aware, Arrow recently (v3.5) added a News card (powered by MSN) to the utility page. News card keeps you up to date by providing a personalized news feed from the interests that you choose. With this update, News card has seen a major overhaul and looks fantastic.
In addition, the appointment calendar has also seen a major UI overhaul. Also, it is now possible to connect it to work with your local calendar in addition to Outlook and Microsoft Exchange.
People card will now show Outlook contacts and Arrow can be restored to default settings as per the release notes. But we do not any evidence of such in the updated app. There is a Restart Launcher option, however. (Arrow Settings > General Settings > Restart Launcher), which simply reapplies the launcher.
What’s New in Arrow Launcher’s 3.8 release:
- News: the redesigned News card.
- People: See your Outlook contacts in People card and let Arrow help you merge duplicate contacts.
- Calendar: Redesigned Calendar card shows your upcoming appointments.
- Setting: Reset Arrow settings to default settings.
- Folder spacing/layout improvements.
- Additional bug fixes
