Microsoft has been quite a winner when it comes to custom launcher app for Android, and the latest update to its Arrow launcher app is no different from being incredible. With version 3.5, Arrow launcher feels a whole new thing when it comes to performance, or it’s just another step to being brilliant.
Some of the major additions of this update includes two new cards: Arrow Hub card and MSN News card. With the Arrow Hub card, you will be able to quickly transfer important files/documents between your phone and other devices. All this is backed up by OneDrive cloud storage, so when you are setting it up for the first time, it may need permissions to access your OneDrive account.
In addition, the new MSN News card gives you personalized news feed right on your Utility page. You can selectively choose as what fields you are more interested in like Entertainment, Sports, Technology etc. Tapping on a certain news item opens it up right inside the launcher in a web view, which gives a great reading experience.
Arrow launcher also has the option to backup and restoring apps list, app size settings etc. and with this update you can now also backup icon packs and app folders etc. This is very handy as you can use the same set of apps and related settings etc. if you plan to change your Android device or you are re-installing the app for some reason. Simply, sign into the same OneDrive account, select restore and you are good to go. It works, as expected.
