Cortana

Microsoft’s personal digital assistant, Cortana first made its appearance on Windows Phone 8.1 is now a cross-platform buddy with its availability on Android, iOS and not to mention, Windows. It has been available on Android and iOS counterparts in the US (and more recently in the UK) for over a year now, gaining features with the feedback Microsoft received from a whole bunch of users. The service has only improved over time and there is no denying the fact.

The latest feature gain for Cortana on Android is the lock-screen support. This will exactly show you the information you need to keep with Cortana above the lock on your Android smartphone. All you need to do is quickly swipe from the right and see what Cortana’s got for you for the day.

Microsoft has also revamped the Cortana UI  on Android, giving you glance-able information about what’s upcoming in your day like your schedule, commute times as well as upcoming reminders and the ability to quickly add reminders and new calendar items to your day. Your lists are also easier to access so you can view, edit and add items quickly.
