Firefox will deliver alternative to Edge browser on Windows 10 soon

Firefox_Pillars-600x372

Firefox has just teased its new browser for Windows 10. In an official blog post, Firefox team talks about bringing alternative to the stock Windows 10 browser (read Microsoft Edge) soon.

The first focus area is delivering an uncompromised user experience that ensures Firefox meets the most rigorous of quality and performance standards. This commitment is evident in the strides we’re making to improve the richest Web experiences like HTML5 video playback and game performance.  We’ll also soon deliver Firefox to new platforms, such as Firefox for iOS and Windows 10, where we will provide an independent and high-performing alternative to the stock browser.

With Microsoft Edge, Microsoft has offered an efficient and lean browser with much improved performance over Internet explorer. So, it will be interesting to see what Firefox brings in response to Edge.

Thanks Adi for the tip. Cheers!!

  • Does that mean a Modern version of Firefox? Because it already works in desktop mode.

That’s what I think too :), as we can still use the Firefox existing browser on Windows 10.
