HTC W8 has been more or less confirmed coming to Verizon due to various leaks and rumors. But now a press render leaks from Verizon’s own website. Interestingly the URL is named HTC_M8_Windows. So, may be it will not be called HTC W8 after all.
The image reveals the HTC One for Windows similar to HTC One (Android) as far as the frontal view is concerned. The device is supposed to have a 5-inch, 1080p resolution display. While the device seems to bring all the goodies like dual-cameras & Boomsound from its Android counterpart HTC M8, we think it will launch running Snapdragon 800 unlike Snapdragon 801 of M8. Reason being, Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 still doesn’t support Snapdragon 801.
HTC has sent press invites for a 19th August event in US. So, seems Flagship HTC M8 Windows aka “One for Windows” for Verizon will be announced on 19th August.
