Build 2016 has kicked off yesterday and we got to see what Microsoft is planning and what they will work in future. When Windows 10 was launched the most awesome thing of all was the Microsoft Edge which had an inbuilt support for Cortana, reading list, annotations and best of all is its JS engine which is also open source.
Recently, AD Block plus also stated that, they have already started working on their Extension for Microsoft Edge. But after yesterday many sites reported about Microsoft’s plan to bring native AdBlock support to Microsoft Edge on the basis of a slide from Official Build PPT. But now it seems this is not the case and Microsoft employees have sought to clear the air around it.
As turns out Microsoft will not be bringing Native Ad-blocker extension.
We are not building a native ad blocker within MS Edge, but we will support third party ad blockers like AdBlock and AdBlock Plus
