Microsoft has today confirmed in an official blog post that Windows 10 20H2 will be the next major feature update after Windows 10 May 2020 update. It has also confirmed that Windows 10 20H2 will arrive via a similar methodology adopted for Windows 10 19H2.
This means we will most probably see an enablement package for Windows 10 20H2 and it will be released to those on Version 2004 via monthly update channel. [Microsoft today released the enablement package in form of Build 19042.330 to Beta channel that enables the 20H2 update].
We continue to learn and adjust the delivery and overall experience of the Windows Updates based on customer feedback. As a result, we will again deliver Windows 10, version 20H2 using servicing technology (like that used for the monthly update process) for customers running the May 2020 Update who choose to update to the new release. Simply put, anyone running the May 2020 Update and updating to Windows 10, version 20H2 will have a faster installation experience because the update will install like a monthly update.
Windows 10 20H2 will bring “a scoped set of new features” and will be the first Windows 10 version to come with Chromium Edge.
