Google added automatic HTTPS switching to the Chrome browser recently. Now, Microsoft has added the feature to Microsoft Edge browser albeit via a flag that can be enabled by users. This provides users with flexibility of using or not using this feature as they deem fit.
Now coming to “how to enable the feature of browser automatically choosing https connection for all sites”. There is a flag available in Microsoft Edge Canary Version 92.0.877.0. The flag “#edge-automatic-https” needs to enabled to activate this feature. Follow these steps.
- Type edge://flags/#edge-automatic-https in your Microsoft Edge Canary and enter. It will directly take you to the flag
- Now enable it and you are done.
