Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 gets “Project Robin” & Assistance features

0

Microsoft Edge has added two new features in the Canary channel recently. Project Robin provides a safe environment for browsing while Edge assistance is here to help Microsoft Edge users.

Project Robin:

Project Robin can be enabled using a flag and the official description reads that “It is an isolated environment to protect your device”. It may be a feature targeted at enterprise customers. Once enabled you will need to sign in with a Microsoft account for accessing web pages.

The feature can be enabled by navigating to edge://flags/#edge-robin.

Microsoft Edge assistance:

The feature is now available in Canary channel on the latest build. It is reportedly a controlled feature roll-out and may not be available for everyone in Canary.

The assistance opens a small pop-out window and shows “What’s new and tips” and actions like making Edge default browser, default PDF reader, import other browser data and sync of passwords. Check the featured image above.
