Microsoft has now started rolling out Windows 10 May 2020 update aka version 2004 (20H1) update worldwide via Windows update. The update roll-out, however, may not be available for everyone initially as explained by Microsoft in its blog post.

You may not see Download and install on your device as we are slowly throttling up this availability over the coming weeks, or your device might have a compatibility issue for which a safeguard hold is in place until we are confident that you will have a good update experience.

But we are providing other ways to install Windows 10 May 2020 update on your PC even if the update is not available via Windows update.

How to update to Windows 10 May 2020 update:

Here are four ways in which you can update to November 2019 update.

  1. Via Windows update for installing the update
  2. Using update assistant
  3. Using Media Creation tool
  4. Download ISO and create bootable USB

Using windows update:

On the Settings page, navigate to Update & security > Windows Update and check for updates. Being phased roll-out you may or may not get it right away, as explained by Microsoft.

Beginning today, the May 2020 Update is available for customers who would like to install this latest release. If you are ready to install the update, open your Windows Update settings (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select Check for updates. Once the update appears, you can select Download and install.

Using Update Assistant:

Using Media Creation Tool:
