At the #MicrosoftEvent in Shanghai, Microsoft finally unveiled a new Surface 2-in-1 device for the masses, dubbed as Surface Pro. The Surface Pro features an all-day battery life of up to 13.5 hours which is 50% longer than Surface Pro 4, incredible. It is also 1.7x faster than an Apple iPad Pro.

Surface Pro is currently up for pre-order at Microsoft Store with the shipments beginning on and around June 15th, 2017. Being the lightest device in its class, Microsoft also has incorporated a new hinge design which lets you effortlessly put the device in three different modes: Laptop Mode, Studio Mode and Tablet Mode. What is interesting here is the Studio Mode, which can put the kickstand on the device as much at a 165-degree angle, just like the Surface Studio, which is certainly a welcome treat for creators.

Surface Pro also has some 80 new built-in custom parts, not found in its predecessors, and the screen size has not changed at all. All those brilliant colors come alive on razor-sharp resolution of the 12.3″ PixelSenseâ„¢ Display.

Like Surface Pro 4, Surface Pro also comes in three different configuration for you to choose. The Surface Pro m3 and i5 models feature a new fanless cooling system, plus improved hybrid cooling on the i7 model.
