In a surprise move, Microsoft has decided to take down it Translator app from store on older Windows platforms by March 22.
The official announcement will affect Windows 8, Windows Phone 7.1 and Windows Phone 8 platforms, and if you are to search for the said app in the respecive store after March 22, 2017, it will show no results, unfortunately.
However, for those users on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1, an update is available for you in the store, if you want to continue using the app after March 22, 2017. This action will not affect you in any case but you must grab the update by or before April 30, 2017 to ensure it will continue to function.
For users on the Windows 10 platform either PC or Mobile, no action is needed and Microsoft will, hopefully, continue to support it for the lifetime of the OS.
