Windows Core OS is Microsoft’s new unified OS in works, that is considered to be the future of Windows and can power all kind of devices and new form factors. Now, it seems that Windows Core OS (WCOS) may have just appeared in a GeekBench listing leaked on Twitter.
As one can notice in the screenshot above the operating system is listed as “Windows Core System (64-bit). The Windows Core system has appeared in a Microsoft virtual machine as per the listing.
Sometime ago enthusiasts had leaked a list of upcoming Windows Core OS products on Twitter. The list includes Windows Core, Andromeda OS, Factory OS Andromeda Device, Polaris and others.
While Microsoft has scheduled a big event on October 2 where it is expected to launch new Surface devices and more, it will be interesting to see if Microsoft announces the Windows core OS.
