OneDrive for Android adds SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016 support

Microsoft is updating its OneDrive app for Android in the Google Play Store.

The latest update, version 4.16, adds a new feature which lets business consumers to access organization’s on-premise files from their smartphone and with that brings SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016 support.

This move will let users open, edit, even offline all of their most important files depending on the situation.

Changelog for version 4.16:

  • Get to your organization’s on-premise files from your mobile device with SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016 support. Open, edit, even offline all of your most important files. Note: This is only compatible with Windows authentication (NTLM) and Forms-based authentication. Talk with your IT admin for more information.
