Outlook for Windows insider update brings groups improvement & more

Microsoft has pushed a new update to Outlook for Windows in the insider channel. The update takes the app’s version to 1712 (8828.2006). The update brings new features and improvements to Outlook for Windows.

The update brings improvements to groups with speed and usability improvements. In Excel, you can now deselect cells that you clicked accidentally. Check the official changelog below.


  • In Outlook, we’ve made improvements to groups. Conversations load faster than ever and you can double-click to open the latest message in its own window.

  • By popular request, in Excel, you now have the option to deselect cells that you accidentally clicked without having to start over.
