Dark Theme is perhaps one of the exciting visual treatment for the Windows Fans, and people who usually work at night find it useful. Despite all the efforts, Windows 10 Drak Theme has often been criticized for the lack of consistency throughout the Operating System.

Microsoft today with build 17333, has announced that they are calling it a wrap for Dark Theme in File Explorer which was in development since build 17666. Starting with the new build you will be able to see the latest UI design for Dark Theme in File Explorer by going to Settings > Personalization > Colors and select the “Dark” option under the “Choose your app mode” section.

The design process was a bit of a balancing act. On one hand, we want to keep the design consistent with the modern Shell experiences already part of the broader Windows dark theme. At the same, we also needed to incorporate lighter tones to ensure the multiple parts of File Explorer remained easy to see and work with.

Dark Theme in File Explorer was one of the most requested design change from the Insiders in the past, but File explorer is something that is used by everyone, and unlike the enthusiast rest of the world don’t want to see much changes that too within File Explorer which have been more or less the same since decades. But a Dark Theme which is more of an extra mode which certainly doesn’t come as default is a good move, and now that the feature is complete, Dark Theme is certainly a thing in the Next big release of Windows 10
