Twitter on Xbox app update adds support for live 360 videos and more

Twitter

Official Twitter app for Xbox One has been updated in the Store. Twitter for Xbox One allows you to enjoy live stream sports, entertainment, and news for free on your big screen, optimized in full HD with curated Twitter commentary.

For those who own an Xbox One console, sign in to the Twitter app will now let you see your timeline as well as a wide range of perspectives and commentary from a variety of accounts.

Additionally, picture in picture mode is supported. This enables gamers to watch two side-by-side live video streams and even toggle between them.

Global live video selection enables users to watch live videos from any location in the world. This consists of videos streamed in live 360-degree, too.

Version number: 1.8.0.6
With this update, you’ll have access to these next-level features:

• Multiple-timeline viewing: When you log in and are watching videos, you’ll see your timeline as well as a wide range of perspectives and commentary from a variety of accounts.
• Picture-in-picture: Ready to multi-task? Watch two side-by-side live videos—and even toggle between them—so you never miss a thing.
• Global live video selection: Buenos Aires? Calcutta? Honolulu? Click anywhere on our spinning globe to watch live video from that location.
