Windows 10, is the latest operating system from Microsoft that we know all very well. And also Windows 10 is the most secure version of Windows.
Now Microsoft announced that the 4 million PC of defence department will upgrade to seventh month old Windows 10 operating system in some days.
Windows 10 is already running on 200 million active devices, registering faster growth than any previous Windows version.
“From laptops to desktops to mobile devices, including Surface devices, the DoD is targeting its Windows 10
upgrade for completion in a year, an unprecedented move for a customer with the size and complexity of the DoD,” wrote Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices Group in one of the blog post.
The computer systems at the defence department is already running Windows operating system. Its intresting to note that, defence department trust on the security features of Windows 10 and they like it.
“Instead of being one of the last to roll this out…, they did it at the beginning of the cycle,” Mr. Moorhead said. “They
seem to be really motivated to do this.”
But the defence department doesn’t comment on the question that which security feature they will use to protect and secure their confidential data. So maybe they will mostly use Biometric authentication technology, which includes facial recognition I.e. Windows Hello.
So this is another success story of Windows 10. That department of defence itself will use the latest Windows edition I.e. Windows 10.
